As part of this commitment, we have prepared this Privacy Statement to let you know about the manner in which we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise manage the personal information you entrust to us through our Web site located at www.homeinteriors.com (the "Site") or that you otherwise provide to us or your independent Home Interiors® Decorating Consultant. Your use of the Site is governed by the Terms of Service, and by your use of the Site you accept and acknowledge this Privacy Statement.

THE SITE
Registration Material
You do not have to register to browse our Site. Your registration or subscription is required to access certain portions of the Site, such as to find a Decorating Consultant (if you do not already have one), to submit a purchase order to your Decorating Consultant online, and to obtain information online about Home Interiors career opportunities. When you register to find a Decorating Consultant, the personal information you provide on the registration form is sent to your Decorating Consultant to use in accordance with this Privacy Statement.
Our Site's registration form asks users to give us contact information such as your name, company, address, phone number, and a user name (your e-mail address) and, for certain areas of the Site, a password that you select. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and we strongly recommend that you not disclose your password to anyone. Home Interiors uses the personal information voluntarily given by you to: identify who you are, provide you with the service you requested, provide you with information regarding our products and services, process your purchases, provide interactive or personalized elements on our Site, or to better prepare future information and content based on the interests of our users. Users may opt-out of receiving future marketing communications at any time. Please see the opt-out section below.
Your Comments, Inquiries and Suggestions?
We collect the personal information you provide us when you send us any comments, inquiries, suggestions, or feedback. We use your inquiries, suggestions, survey information, and comments solely to monitor and/or improve the use and features of our Site and our product offerings.
Contests and Surveys
We periodically run contests and conduct user surveys on our Site in which we ask visitors for contact information (such as their e-mail address). The contact information is used to contact users to administer contests. At the time you are entering a contest or sweepstakes, or completing a survey, we will notify you if we intend to send you future marketing information. You may opt-out of receiving future marketing information when you enter a contest or complete a survey; see the opt-out section below.
Other Personal Information the Site Gathers About You?
We collect the IP (Internet protocol) addresses of all visitors to our Site and other related information such as page requests, browser type, operating system, and average time spent on our Site. We use this data to gather broad demographic user information from which Home Interiors may perform statistical analyses of user behavior to measure users' interest in the various areas of the Site. We can then tailor the visitors' experience at our Site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences. We also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer the Site.
Cookie Technology
Our Site uses a technology called "cookies." A cookie is a tiny element of data that our Site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive so we can recognize you when you return. All pages on our Site where you are prompted to log in or that are customizable require that you accept cookies. If you have registered with our Site, these cookies (1) may let us know who you are, (2) are necessary to access your account information (stored on our computers) in order to deliver products and personalized services, and (3) will provide us and our service providers with information that we will use to personalize our Site in accordance with your preferences. However, should you decide not to accept cookies from our Site, you may limit the functionality we can provide when you visit our Site.
YOUR DECORATING CONSULTANT
Personal Information You Provide to Your Decorating Consultant?
If you contact a Decorating Consultant or attend a Home Interiors Party, your Decorating Consultant may collect personal information you provide when you order Home Interiors products; enter a contest, sweepstakes, or other event; or request information about our products, about hosting a Home Interiors Party, or about pursuing a Home Interiors career. In these circumstances, your Decorating Consultant may ask for some or all of your name, billing and shipping address, e-mail address, telephone number, and credit card or other payment information, as applicable. Your Decorating Consultant may provide personal information to Home Interiors for purposes of fulfilling an order, processing your entry into a contest, sweepstakes or other event, or arranging for Home Interiors to send you marketing, promotional, or other information or material. You may opt-out of receiving future marketing information; see the opt-out section below.
Submitting a Purchase
One of the ways that you can purchase products from your Decorating Consultant is to submit an order online. If you elect to pay by credit card for your online order, Home Interiors will use your credit card information to process your order. In some instances, we may send your online order to your Decorating Consultant who will contact you personally about payment and delivery information. If you elect to pay for Home Interiors products you purchase from your Decorating Consultant by credit card, your Decorating Consultant will provide your credit card information, along with the purchase information (i.e. the date, amount, and products purchased) to Home Interiors in order to allow us to process your order. We will not use your credit card information for any other purpose.
Decorating Consultant Obligations
Your Decorating Consultant has agreed to comply in all respects with this Privacy Statement in the collection, use, disclosure, and other management of the personal information you entrust to him/her, regardless of where or how that information is provided, including personal information you provide at a Party, when ordering products online or in person. or otherwise. Your Decorating Consultant has also agreed to comply with any request you make to opt-out of receiving any marketing communications from your Decorating Consultant. We would certainly appreciate being advised of any complaints you may have regarding the use of your personal information by your Decorating Consultant.
TO WHOM WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose personal information without your consent except as otherwise set out herein. We transfer personal information on a confidential basis to trusted service providers who provide specific services and/or administer activities offered at our Site. We may make user Site registration records available on a confidential basis to third-party auditors, data storage firms, and to select measurement and analysis firms. These parties do not use or otherwise disclose any personal information except for the purpose of providing the services or administering the
activities on our behalf.
We may also utilize a service provider to assist us in aggregating user information. We may then share such aggregate information with prospective partners and advertisers. This aggregate information does not contain any information that could identify an individual user.
If your purchases are being shipped to you, we will share your shipping information on a confidential basis with our delivery service providers (U.S. Postal Service, Canada Post, or other delivery companies we or you select). Our delivery service providers are contractually prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than making the delivery.
Credit card information provided by you when you purchase Home Interiors products is shared only with the relevant credit card company and/or third-party credit card processor in order to process your purchase.
Access to Personal Information
You have the right to request and obtain from Home Interiors the personal information Home Interiors has on file about you and request a correction of any data that is inaccurate. You may also request Home Interiors to inform you of the type of personal information maintained by Home Interiors. Transfer?
Home Interiors reserves the right to transfer any personal information we have about you and the consent you have provided herein to the use of your personal information shall also extend to any person or entity to which Home Interiors may transfer all or a portion of our business or assets, provided such personal information is used for the same purposes.
Legal?
Home Interiors must provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to an investigative body in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law, or as otherwise required by law. We may also disclose specific user information when we believe that such disclosure is necessary to protect the interests or safety of Home Interiors, its customers, and others. In addition, we may disclose personal information to assist us in collecting a debt owed by you.
Additional Policies Applicable to Decorating Consultants
In addition to the policies set forth herein, some areas of the Site require that Decorating Consultants provide personal information (specifically social security number and date of birth, as well as other personal information) in order to utilize special services. This personal information may be shared with third party service providers in certain instances. For instance, Home Interiors may share this personal information with a provider of debit cards to offer such cards to our Decorating Consultants for use in purchasing products from Home Interiors and others. The Decorating Consultants' personal information will only be disclosed to provide such services and products. The Decorating Consultants' personal information will otherwise be treated just as the customer personal information is treated under the terms of this Privacy Statement.
A Note About the Privacy of Children Under 13
The Site is not directed to or otherwise promoted for use by children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect or use personal information of anyone under the age of thirteen (13).
OPT-OUT PROCEDURES
Home Interiors provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving marketing communications at any time by following the instructions contained at the end of every communication or by contacting us in the manner set out below. You may also cancel your subscription or registration for any portion of the Site by sending e-mail to websupport@homeinteriors.com.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
The Site may contain links to other sites. Although we try to link only to sites sharing our high standards of privacy, please be aware that Home Interiors is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personal information. You should not take the existence of an affiliation with, or a link from
the Site to any other site to mean that it has a privacy policy similar to this one.
SECURITY MEASURES
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, use, modification, and disclosure of personal information in our custody and control. Personal information, including information collected by cookies and site-analysis tools, are stored in electronic logs behind our firewall but can be accessed only by approved Home Interiors staff through password-protected administration sites. Independent third party audits of our Site security procedures are conducted quarterly.
CHANGES TO HOME INTERIORS' PRIVACY STATEMENT
As our business is a dynamic one, we need to be able to make revisions to this Privacy Statement. Consequently, we reserve the right to change this Privacy Statement at any time.
